Project description/overview: 61st St W was reconstructed from Lyndale Ave S to Nicollet Ave S in 2018. A reconstruction project typically includes a new road surface, sub-base, curbs, sidewalk, boulevard space, and utilities as needed. The City right of way on 61st St W is limited to 50 feet in width. The project addressed the poor condition of the street and sidewalk infrastructure. Sidewalk space was expanded and brought up to ADA compliance and a sidewalk gap was filled on the south side of the project between Pillsbury Ave S and Lyndale Ave S. Curb bump-outs were included at intersections to shorten pedestrian crossing distance and to improve sightlines. Additionally, a new boulevard was added on the north side to add greening and street trees, to provide a space for power poles outside of the sidewalk area, and to provide additional space for snow storage.

Two project open houses were held on March 15th, one in the afternoon, one in the evening. Property owners along the corridor were mailed a letter notifying them of the meeting. Public Works staff gathered feedback to incorporate into future design iterations. See location details below.

Punch list and warranty work may begin soon on 61st St W. This includes some replacement of sidewalk and roadway panels.

May 24, 2019 Weekly update
Exciting news!
The Minneapolis Park Board will be starting to plant trees along 61st St W today! They had remaining inventory following this spring’s planting season so they will be planting those along 61st St. Additional trees will be planted next spring as expected.
Also, a reminder on the new sod….
Suggestions for the care of your new sod
Sufficient and timely watering is critical to new sod until the root system is fully established to withstand drought and still come back. This can take a full year at times. The areas with full sun may require more water than shaded areas. It’s important to not let the new sod dry out.
Proper mowing: A basic rule is to never remove more than 1/3 of the grass height during a single mowing. Example: Cut grass when it’s 4” high and set the cutting height to 3”. Allowing grass to grow to a height of 6” or more and cutting it very short can injure new sod to the extent it may die. This is especially harmful when watering is insufficient. During the mid-summer heat, a height of 3” is advisable.

The project is substantially complete. Meyer, or their subcontractors, may return to the area to address final issues to fully complete the project.
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Sod has been placed along 61st St. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the new sod and seeded areas receive adequate watering during the first month, so until roughly mid-June.
Suggestions for the care of your new sod

Meyer Contracting Inc.
- The new signal at 61st and Nicollet is operational.
- The sidewalk is complete on the north and south side.
- Remaining work includes: patching behind a couple driveways, finalizing the signal at Lyndale, sodding and/or seeding boulevards, general clean up, and the final roadway striping. It’s expected that sod may be ready about mid-May, weather dependent.
Minneapolis Traffic
Tentatively scheduled for next week, Minneapolis Traffic will be installing sign foundations in the north boulevard.
CenterPoint Energy
CenterPoint Energy will have some restoration work in the area from their gas main work that was done last summer.
Xcel Energy
Xcel Energy finished relocating their power lines to the new poles. The old poles can be removed and we are working on getting that schedule.
Minneapolis Park Board
Minneapolis Park Board has marked locations for where tree will be planted in the future, and Meyer is almost complete with replacing soil in those areas with soil more suitable for tree growth. Park Board Forestry expects to plant trees Spring 2020.

Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer is almost completed with the sidewalk on the south side of 61st, except for the area around the rail road crossings. Crews will soon begin to remove the sidewalk on the north side along Woodhaven Apartments to get that ready for new sidewalk. There are still a few remaining driveways on the north side to be completed and those will be done soon as well.
Meyer crews will also be getting the new boulevard space on the north side ready for trees and sod. At this time, it’s expected that sod may be ready about mid-May, weather dependent.
There is also some signal work and additional clean-up or repair items remaining.
Xcel Energy
Xcel Energy finished relocating their power lines to the new poles. The old poles can be removed and we are working on getting that schedule.

Next spring, the Minneapolis Park Board will plant trees.

Meyer has been working preparing the area for the new sidewalk on the south side of 61st St W west of the rail road tracks. Crews are scheduled to begin placing concrete next week. There has also been work on finishing some of the driveway tie-ins at some of the properties.
Items that remain: placing sidewalk on the south side from Pillsbury to Lyndale and on the north side along with Woodhaven Apartments, and a few other spot locations, the sodding the boulevards, and miscellaneous clean-up work. There are also a few things to complete with the new signals at the Nicollet and Lyndale intersections.

April is here and with that comes road construction. Meyer expects to begin work in the middle of April (weather permitting).

December 5, 2018, Weekly update
Greetings! Updates are below.
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer has completed their work on 61st St for the season. Their sub-contractor Egan Electric are continuing to install the new traffic signals at Nicollet and Lyndale. Meyer will return next year to finish the project. Items that remain to be completed are the new sidewalk on the south side from Pillsbury to Lyndale and on the north side along with Woodhaven Apartments. Also, some of the new pedestrian ramps are currently temporary asphalt. They will also install the new sod in boulevards and permanent striping on the street.
Xcel Energy
Xcel Energy is continuing to replace their power lines from the Rail crossings to Nicollet. Once they are completed with their work, other Utility companies using the power poles will relocate their lines to the new poles. Following all the utilities being transferred, the old poles will be removed and the sidewalks restored.
Minneapolis Park Board
Next spring, the Minneapolis Park Board will plant trees.
Maintenance of new concrete
Please avoid the use of salt on the new sidewalks wherever possible. Salt products can have a detrimental effect on new concrete as it takes time to cure and reach its desired strength.

November 17, 2018, Weekly update
Greetings!
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer completed the small mainline patch areas near the Woodhaven Apartment driveways, finished the curb installation, and installed the north sidewalk from the Railroad tracks to Woodhaven Apartments.
Segments will be closed until the roadway pavement has had time to cure.
Crews are also working on the new signals at Nicollet Ave and upgraded signal at Lyndale.
Pillsbury has been paved! Crews placed the last layer of asphalt between 60th and 61st Streets on Friday.
Next week, Meyer will continue to place temporary asphalt to fill sidewalk gaps, ped ramps, and driveways behind the sidewalk until they can be completed next year. They will also continue cleaning up the project site and get it ready for the winter months.
Parking reminder: there is now no parking on the north side of 61st street between Lyndale and Nicollet.
Currently, temporary no parking signs will be in place until permanent signage can be installed. Please be aware of the parking restrictions to avoid the possibility of having vehicles towed.
Xcel Energy
Xcel is continuing to string the new power lines along the new poles from Wentworth to the Rail crossing.
Next spring, crews will finish the sidewalk along the south side of the corridor west of Pillsbury and along with the Woodhaven Apartments, sod the boulevards, and the Minneapolis Park Board will plant trees.

November 8, 2018, weekly update

The project is getting closer to completion!

The mainline concrete work on 61st St W pavement has been completed!
Meyer has also been preparing remaining sidewalks and building retaining walls. The remaining sidewalk from Lyndale to the east of the railroad tracks and a couple of patches in the mainline near the driveways for Woodhaven Apartments is scheduled to be completed next week subject to weather conditions. Insulated blankets are currently being used to protect the ground and newly poured concrete from freezing. Asphalt paving and patching are also scheduled for next week as temperatures allow.
Current sections of the road will be opened up when the concrete has reached sufficient strength.
Please be mindful of the barricades, we’ve had some instances of footprints being left in the concrete. This results in needing to replace areas and delay the opening of the roadway and sidewalk.
Crews are also working on the new traffic signals at Nicollet Ave. The signals at Lyndale are also being updated.
Parking
Please be advised there is now No Parking along the north side of the street with the new road layout. No parking signs will be installed.
Xcel Energy
Xcel plans to return next week to complete the transfer of the power poles and removal of old poles.
Next spring, crews will sod the boulevards and the Minneapolis Park Board will plant trees.

There is now pavement from Nicollet to Harriet Ave.
This week crews are scheduled to continue placing concrete pavement toward Lyndale from Harriet on the south side of the roadway as well as some sidewalk areas. They also plan to pave asphalt on the remaining section of Pillsbury.
Segments will be closed until the roadway pavement has had time to cure.

More milestones reached!
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer completed the installation of the storm pipe this week to Lyndale
Started to place black dirt in the boulevard areas.
Installed sidewalk on the south side of 61st from Nicollet to Wentworth
Next week they will finalize the gravel grade from Harriet to Lyndale and continue working west placing concrete curb and pavement. Sections will be closed until the roadway pavement has had time to cure. They will continue to work towards the west.
Please be mindful of the barricades, we’ve had some instances of footprints being left in the concrete. This results in needing to replace areas and delay the opening of the roadway and sidewalk.
They plan to pave the remaining section of asphalt on Pillsbury and 61st St and also the final surface through Pillsbury and 60th St. It is currently scheduled for the early part of next week but this will depend on the weather.

Xcel started stringing some of the main power lines along the new poles from Nicollet to Wentworth. They will complete this after the roadway has been completed to the track

Lots of activity and progress on 61st St.

Meyer should be completing the storm work by the end of next week.
Pavement has been placed between Wentworth and the rail crossings. This is being done in phases in order to maintain access to the residents and businesses. Crews will come in and work to tie in the new sidewalks and driveways between Nicollet and Wentworth.
Segments will be closed until the roadway pavement has had time to cure. They will continue to work towards the west.

Rail Crossings
Last Sunday, Progressive Rail removed the existing railroad tracks. Meyer completed the removal and replacement of the storm main on Monday. CenterPoint Energy has been replacing their mains under the tracks as well. Progressive Rail should start replacing their tracks early next week,

Concrete crews are working on placing curb, sidewalks, and roadway pavement between Nicollet and Wentworth. This segment continues to be closed until the roadway pavement has been placed and has time to cure. (Access to Nicollet Manor will be maintained from Nicollet.) They will continue to work towards the west.

October 10, 2018, weekly update
61st St W- closed from Nicollet Ave to Wentworth Ave
Weather permitting, 61st St W is scheduled to begin concrete paving for the roadway starting Thursday, October 11th. 61st St W will be closed from Nicollet Ave to Wentworth Ave to prepare and pave the roadway. (Access to Nicollet Manor will be maintained from Nicollet Ave.) Following the placement of the roadway pavement, the concrete will need 7 to 10 days to cure prior to being reopened for traffic.
October 5, 2018, weekly update
Overnight work at the railway tracks this weekend!
Rail Crossings
The pavement has been removed around the rail crossing. Progressive rail is scheduled to remove the rails on Sunday, October 7th. Once the tracks are removed, Meyer will start on the storm main replacement under the tracks and be followed by CenterPoint’s replacement of the gas mains. Meyer is scheduled to begin work Sunday, October 7th in the afternoon and continue working until the storm main is installed. This will result in work overnight from Sunday into Monday. Their storm work should be completed by Monday afternoon. Once the utility work is completed, Progressive rail will install the new track crossings. It is expected to take about 2 weeks for the work to be completed and new rail crossings to be installed. Access along 61st at the tracks will be closed during the work.

Meyer has continued with the replacement of the storm main. They have installed new main and structures in the area near Aggregate Industries. They will continue to remove pavement and install storm through Harriet next week
Sidewalks on the north between Nicollet and Pillsbury have been graded ready for concrete. The concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk are scheduled to continue next week for the north side of 61st St between Nicollet and Pillsbury. They will continue with soil corrections and grading to prepare more areas for concrete placement on the south side of the street from Nicollet.
Crews have been working on the foundations and conduit crossings for the signals at Nicollet.
Center Point Energy
CenterPoint Energy has removed and replaced the gas main from their yard to the Lyndale Ave intersection. They still need to complete the tie-ins at each end and reconnect services. Next week they will be working on installing the mains through the railway tracks
Xcel Energy
Xcel has installed their new poles between Nicollet and the tracks, they will continue working for the next two weeks transferring lines and removing the old poles.
Minneapolis Water
Minneapolis Water has set up the temporary water lines between Lyndale Ave and the railroad tracks. The temporary water lines have been removed on the east end of the project.

September 28, 2018, weekly update
Meyer Contracting
Meyer installed the gravel surface on the north side of the street between Nicollet & the Tracks. They started concrete work on the curb and driveways between Nicollet and Wentworth. Next week they will grade the sidewalks in advance of pouring concrete. Please be aware that new concrete driveways will not be able to be driven on for 7 days to allow the concrete to gain adequate strength. We will work with property owners to arrange times to install the driveways.
The storm main is currently being installed between the tracks and Harriet and will continue towards Lyndale. They also carried out repairs to existing sanitary manholes.
Their subcontractor will begin work on the foundations for the new signals at Nicollet next week.
Minneapolis Water Department
They have been working on restoring the water supply on Pillsbury and 61st between Wentworth. Mains have been flushed and tested and passed required tests for them to reconnect supplies and remove temporary water in this area at the start of next week. Thank you for your cooperation during this phase of the work.
Xcel Energy
Xcel is scheduled to start placing new poles and transferring power on the north side between Nicollet and the rail tracks early next week. They will inform individual properties of any outages required to carry out this transfer.
CenterPoint Energy
CenterPoint is currently installing the 24" main up to Lyndale. On Monday they will tie this into the existing main at the intersection. Traffic will not be able to exit onto Lyndale from 61st while this work takes place. A detour will be via Harriet & 60th St.
Railway work is still scheduled to begin on 7th October when Progressive Rail will remove the tracks to allow the new utilities to be installed. They will then install the new rail crossings.

September 21, 2018, weekly update

The heavy rain this week has resulted in limiting the work that can be done on the project. We are monitoring the conditions of the roadway and will keep the roadway as passable as possible. Please take extra care driving through the construction zone.
Center Point Energy
CenterPoint Energy has removed and replaced the gas main from their yard to approximately Harriet Ave. They have started the removal of the gas main between Harriet and Lyndale Ave.
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer has continued with the storm main. They have installed new main and structures to the area about 80 feet from the railroad tracks. They will continue this work to the tracks.
Meyer has completed pavement removals between Nicollet Ave and the railroad tracks. They have started soil corrections (removing the soft areas) on the north side of the roadway between Nicollet and Wentworth. Next, they will grade the north side and get it ready for the curb.
Rail Crossings
The rail crossings are scheduled to be removed starting October 7th. Once the tracks are removed, Meyer and CenterPoint can replace the storm main and gas mains. We expect this to result in work overnight. It is expected to take about 2 weeks for the work to be completed and new rail crossings to be installed. During this time, 61st St W will be closed at the rail crossing. Properties east of the tracks will be accessible from Pillsbury and properties west of the tracks from Harriet.
Xcel Energy
Xcel is scheduled to come in next week to start placing the new power poles between the rail tracks and Nicollet on the north side of the street
Minneapolis Water
Minneapolis Water has activated the temporary water lines between Lyndale Ave and the railroad tracks. The temporary water mains between the railroad tracks and Wentworth Ave should be able to be removed soon.
They have set up the temporary water lines for Phase II to carry out work on the water main between Harriet & Lyndale and have scheduled the water supply to be switched on Monday morning 9/24. Affected properties will be notified through City Water Department.

CenterPoint Energy has installed the new gas mains between Nicollet Ave and the rail crossing. The new mains have been tested and the services have been tied in between Nicollet Ave and Wentworth Ave.
They will also begin working on replacing the gas main from their yard to Lyndale in the coming weeks. Crews will be blocking access between 61st St and Lyndale Ave to remove the gas main from service between the CenterPoint yard and Lyndale. This blockage will only be for several days.
Meyer Contracting Inc.
The intersection of Pillsbury and 61st will be blocked while Meyer installs the storm manholes, storm main, and offsets the
water main. This is expected to be completed next week.
Meyer has begun pavement removals between the rail crossing and Lyndale starting next week in advance of CenterPoint Energy gas
main replacement.
Next week, Meyer expects to start with the remaining removals between Nicollet Ave and the railroad tracks. They would also begin
grading and soil corrections (removing the soft areas) in preparation for rebuilding the road.

CenterPoint Energy has installed the new gas mains between Nicollet Ave and the rail crossing. They have tested the new pipe and will be making the service connections next week
They will now begin working on replacing the gas main from their facility to Lyndale in the coming weeks.
Meyer Contracting Inc.
Meyer has installed the new catch basins at Blaisdell Ave and is continuing with the storm main work on Pillsbury. The intersection of Pillsbury and 61st will be blocked while Meyer installs the storm manholes, storm main, and offsets the water main. Access to the properties east of Pillsbury will be from the Nicollet end of 61st, and those properties to the west of Pillsbury will be from the Lyndale end of the street. The one way will be temporarily suspended during this work. This is expected to be completed late next week.

Meyer Contracting
Meyer Contracting paved the intersection of 60th & Pillsbury and along Pillsbury to just north of 61st this week. The final layer of asphalt will be installed at a later date after the 61st St storm sewer has been installed.
Starting next week they will begin the storm sewer work at Nicollet and work west towards the rail tracks. The remaining storm main will be continued from Pillsbury along 61st towards Lyndale when they reach Pillsbury.
Once the storm work is completed to the tracks, they will begin grading the street from Nicollet for paving. During these operations, access to properties will be maintained but there may be some local detours in place to allow them to carry out the work. We will try to give as much advance warning of these as possible.
CenterPoint Energy
CenterPoint has installed the new gas pipes through Pillsbury and estimate to reach the rail tracks by the end of next week. When they reach the tracks they will begin working on replacing the 24" main between the tracks and Lyndale.

CenterPoint Energy is installing the new gas mains between Wentworth Ave and Pillsbury Ave this week and will work from Pillsbury Ave to the rail crossing next week

Meyer’s subcontractor has replaced the storm pipe along Pillsbury Ave from 60th St to just north of 61st St W. The remaining pipe and manholes will be done by Meyer when they are performing the work on 61st St W.
Meyer’s subcontractor has started pouring new concrete curb and driveways along with Pillsbury. This work is expected to carry into next Monday. They plan to grade the gravel base and are scheduled to begin placing the new asphalt on Pillsbury Ave and the intersection at 60th St W in the middle of next week. They will place the final layer of asphalt at a later date once work is complete.
When Pillsbury Ave has been paved, Meyer will move to 61st St to begin the storm work.

The Storm main on Pillsbury is nearly completed to 61st St. They have been installing pipe as well as lowering water and sanitary services this week. Notice will be given before they are ready to pave the street. Meyer's work will continue at Nicollet, removing the remaining concrete before replacing storm structures and preparing the street for paving. This will follow up behind Centerpoint as they install their new gas mains.

CenterPoint has removed and replaced their 12" & 16" gas mains between Nicollet & Blaisdell and will continue next week up to Wentworth. At times it may be necessary for them to detour the traffic on the block they are working on via 60th when lowering and welding the 80-foot sections of pipe into the trench. 61st St W (Nicollet Ave to Harriet Ave) will operate as a one-way westbound.
CenterPoint Energy has begun installing their new Gas main on the south side of 61st St from Nicollet and will be heading towards the railway tracks through the next couple of weeks.
Meyer Contracting began removing the concrete pavement ahead of CenterPoint/Michels to allow them to carry out their work. Unfortunately, it was determined that the soil underneath the pavement is not suitable to drive on to maintain 2-way traffic. They have left the concrete in place on the north side of the street and a One Way operation will now be implemented for WESTBOUND traffic from Nicollet to Harriet while the gas main is replaced.
For vehicles accessing 61st Street from Lyndale, a detour will be in place via Harriet -> 60th Street -> Nicollet.

CenterPoint Energy completed their work at the intersection of 61st St and Nicollet Ave. Next week they will continue replacing their gas mains along the corridor in advance of the reconstruction work.

Meyer is progressing with the storm pipe replacement along Pillsbury Ave.
This week they removed the asphalt surface and broken the concrete pavement from Nicollet Ave to Lyndale Ave. They have started removing the concrete surface in advance of CenterPoint Energy’s work between Nicollet Ave and the Rail Road crossings. This work will continue into next week. As they remove the concrete, they will be placing gravel ramps in order to maintain access to properties. Portions of 61st St may be one lane at times while trucks are hauling material in and out.

UPCOMING CLOSURE at 61st St W and Nicollet!
Center Point Energy
CenterPoint Energy is replacing their gas mains in 61st St W in coordination with the reconstruction project. To facilitate that work, they will be working in the intersection of Nicollet Ave and 61st St. This work will result in Nicollet Ave being down to 1 travel lane, and no access to 61st St from Nicollet, while this work is being performed. This work is scheduled to start on July 20th and be completed this weekend.

Meyer is progressing with the storm pipe replacement along Pillsbury Ave.
Starting the week of July 23rd, Meyer will be milling off the asphalt surface of 61st St and breaking the concrete pavement below it. 61st St W has been posted with "No Parking" signs for this work. They will also be removing the concrete in order for CenterPoint Energy to replace their gas mains along the corridor.

Important reminders:
- Our equipment is large and heavy and can be extremely dangerous if one is not alert around it. We urge you to stay at a safe distance at all times. Please, above all, impress upon your children not to go beyond the sidewalk at any time and to stay away from material piles and equipment parked on or near the job site. Please observe all posted detour routes and warning signs and arrange to park on side streets or on another block when work is underway in your immediate area.
- Help us prevent vandalism during construction. It not only delays the project but adds to the costs. Your cooperation in reporting or preventing such acts is critical and directly benefits you.
- To save yourself time and money, if you have experienced any problems with your sewer and/or water connection it is recommended that you contact a licensed plumber as soon as possible to correct the problem before the street is paved. One problem frequently encountered in connection with street paving is the condition and age of the private water and sewer services from the house or business to the City main in the street. Occasionally, because of the age and condition of these services, they may require repair or replacement within a relatively short period of time after the new paving is completed. So, if you are planning to upgrade your water or sewer service, please call me at 673-3762 to coordinate with the project’s schedule.
Once again, we ask that you impress upon all children the dangers near construction equipment. We hope to inconvenience you as little as possible and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding while your neighborhood is being improved.

Storm main installation on Pillsbury - No parking
Meyer Contracting have been installing storm structures and pipe on the intersection of 60th & Pillsbury. Tomorrow, Wednesday 11th July, they will be milling the asphalt surface along Pillsbury to allow them to continue laying pipe. After the surface is removed they will provide temporary ramps to properties. There are no parking signs along the length of Pillsbury on both sides. Further traffic control will be placed tomorrow morning to close Pillsbury to through traffic. Local traffic will exit Pillsbury south onto 61st St.
To assist them in completing their work, and avoid having to tow vehicles, please ensure no cars are parked on the street in Pillsbury from this evening onward.

60th Street & Pillsbury storm main update
Meyer Contracting
The pipe crew continued to work on the intersection of 60th & Pillsbury this week. After setting up trench support at the start of the week, they removed the old structure and prepared the area. On Wednesday the concrete structure was delivered on a series of trucks and installed via a large crane. This coming week, two more (smaller) manholes will be installed on the intersection and they will begin to lay the concrete storm pipe. No work will be carried out on Wednesday the 4th but work will continue the rest of the week.

CenterPoint Energy's utility contractor Michels has been continuing working on gas connections on 60th Street as well as starting their plastic pipework on 61st Street.

Meyer Contracting has been lowering the water main on 60th & Pillsbury to allow the larger storm main to be installed. They have also installed a new Hydrant. This will be completed tomorrow Saturday 23rd. Work installing the new storm main along Pillsbury will begin early next week. A pre-cast storm structure will be installed via crane on 60th & Pillsbury weighing in the region of 100,000lb! During the work over the next couple of weeks, Meyer's sub-contractor Pete's Water & Sewer will work with businesses along Pillsbury to maintain access. Please be aware that installing the 60" diameter concrete pipe at a depth of 15ft will take up a lot of space, we will try our best to minimize disruption. If you have any specific access concerns please call me on the number below.

CenterPoint Energy's utility contractor Michels has been directional boring plastic pipe on 60th between Pillsbury & Nicollet. They are currently connecting to the main on Nicollet. Next week they will be carrying out work along 61st St.

60th Street & Pillsbury storm main update
Meyer Contracting
Meyer Contracting removed the asphalt pavement at the 60th & Pillsbury intersection early this week. They also excavated to allow the City Water dept to access the water main.
Minneapolis Water Department
This morning the Water Department capped the water main on 60th & Pillsbury and switched the affected properties to the temporary water supply. This will allow Meyer to upgrade the hydrant and offset the water main for the new storm pipe to be installed. Work will continue on this next week.
Centerpoint Energy
Centerpoint energy is scheduled to carry out some pipe installation on 60th & 61st. This plastic pipe is required to allow them to carry out a gas main replacement on 61st Street during the reconstruction project.

60th Street & Pillsbury storm main update
Meyer Contracting
Meyer Contracting set up the traffic control on Monday to start the project. The intersection of 60th & Pillsbury is now closed while the work takes place over the next few weeks. Thru traffic is diverted via 61st Street. The pavement has been saw cut and early next week they will commence pavement removal followed by some adjustments to the water main before replacement of the storm sewer pipe begins.
Minneapolis Water Department
The Water Dept. has been setting up temporary water supplies to local properties this week. It will be switched next week to allow the contractor to continue their work. This is the network of yellow pipes along the sides of the road around Pillsbury. Please take extra care driving over the pipe as it crosses streets and driveways.
