Project description
This project is a joint project between the City of Minneapolis Department of Public Works (City), the Downtown Improvement District (DID), and Dezign Line.
The project purpose is to install two pilot bumpouts using DezignLine’s Safe Rail product. The pilot is intended to demonstrate a new type of temporary to semi-permanent bumpout and explore the effectiveness of using temporary bumpouts ahead of a permanent treatment. The project will also evaluate the products durability, particularly over a Minneapolis winter season.
