Life Time Fitness
City of Minneapolis employees are eligible for lower membership rates at Life Time Fitness. The prices, below, are determined by the membership level and the number of adults (age 14 and older) on the membership. The charge for children under age 14 is $5.00 per month, except Edina which is $40. Previous membership levels were Standard, Onyx and Diamond.
Standard
Access all Life Time Fitness facilities except Signature clubs or Edina location.
- One person - $85.00 plus tax
- Dual/two people - $125.00 plus tax
- Family of three - $150.00 plus tax
- Family of four or more - $180.00 plus tax
Signature
- One person - $130.00 plus tax
- Dual/two people - $195.00 plus tax
- Family of three people - $235.00 plus tax
- Family of four or more - $265.00 plus tax
Membership includes Signature group training, priority class and infant reservations, pickle ball court fees and tennis court fees.
Edina
- One person - $195.00 plus tax
- Dual/two people - $270.00 plus tax
- Family of three - $330.00 plus tax
- Family of four or more $370.00 plus tax
Edina currently has a waiting list for new memberships at this time.
Membership contact information
To join or make changes to an existing membership, contact member engagement manager at Target Center’s Life Time Fitness, Alex Egle at 612.486.3600 or Alex Egle, or Brian Opatz. You will be required to validate employment with your City of Minneapolis email.
Employees who are currently part of the City’s membership program and wish to make changes to an existing membership or cancel their membership can complete a cancellation form at any Life Time Fitness location.
CorePower Yoga
City of Minneapolis employees are eligible to save 20% on All Access Membership and Class Packs that can be used at over 200 studios nationwide. To redeem contact Jennifer Seiler.

Snap Fitness
City Employees are eligible for a 10% discount on membership rates and a $25 enrollment fee at the Thrivent Financial Building location located at 625 4th Avenue South, Skyway level.
There is also a one time charge of $19.95 for the access card fee. To take advantage of these special rates, stop by Snap Fitness or call Anthony at (612) 339-1991.
YMCA
The YMCA's corporate discount program includes:
- $0 enrollment fee
- $15 off the cost of membership each month (must visit 6 days or more per month).
- Free fitness assessment consultation and follow up meeting with a personal trainer.
- Free 20-minute video call with a health coach to discuss holistic health options offered by the Y.
- 5-day free trial for employees and their families.
Membership types:
- Individual adult $75 per month
- Dual (two adults in one household) $132 per month
- One adult family (one adult and kids under 18 in same household) $104 per month
- Two adult family (one adult and kids under 18 in same household) $132 per month.

YWCA
The YMCA's corporate discount program includes:
- $15 credit on your monthly membership fee when you work out at least 8 days per month at a YWCA Minneapolis facility
- $10 enrollment fee
- 4 free guest passes per year
The monthly rates before the discount are $75 per month per individual membership, $122 for a two-adult membership, and $138 for a two-adult with children membership. You must show proof of employment at the City with a business card, work badge, email from your work email address, pay stub or offer letter.
