Housing Opportunities for Persons with HIV/AIDS (HOPWA) Formula Funding
The City of Minneapolis Grants & Special Projects department manages annual HOPWA formula funding for the 15-county Eligible Metropolitan Statistical Area (EMSA), which includes the following counties:
Minnesota: Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Le Sueur, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, Wright
Wisconsin: Pierce, St. Croix
Funds are determined yearly by the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and passed through the City of Minneapolis to community organizations. The City holds a periodic competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to award funds to qualified agencies.
