Project description:
This project is a bridge improvement project. Improvements include placing beams performing concrete deck repairs, milling and placing a low slump overlay on the bridge deck, and replacing the approach panels and the expansion joints. The additional pavement on both ends of the bridge may be milled and overlaid. 

Project location:
The project is located on Upton Ave S from 54th St W to Forrest Dale over Minnehaha Creek.

Construction date:
This project is scheduled to begin July 24th, 2017. 

Length of construction:
12 weeks.

Traffic impact:
The bridge will be closed to through traffic during these work activities. Minnehaha Creek will be closed to all canoes, kayaks, tubing, etc.

Project updates

September 29, 2017: Bridge work is complete. There are four ADA pedestrian ramp upgrades yet to be completed. During the pedestrian ramp upgrades, there will be sidewalk closures.
