Parades and races

We require a permit for any parade, march or race on city streets or alleys.

Definitions

Parades are:

  • processions of people celebrating or commemorating for a non-commercial purpose.
  • along one (1) or more contiguous blocks of a street or streets on which traffic is restricted.
  • events that the public can watch.

Races are:

  • organized competitions of human speed or endurance consisting of a procession of people.
  • held along one (1) or more contiguous blocks of a street or streets on which traffic is restricted.
  • events that the public can watch.
