Snelling Yards II Tax Increment Financing Plan
Overview
The Snelling Yards II Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Plan will help pay for a new apartment building. The building will include 95 affordable housing units. Of these, 66 apartments will be for people earning 50% or less of the area’s median income (AMI).
The project is located at 44th Street East, between Hiawatha and Snelling Avenue in South Minneapolis.
This plan creates a new housing TIF district to help cover the costs of building the apartments. It also includes a budget for how tax money from the district will be used to support the project.
