What to know

This document refers to the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances, Title 20

An interim use permit allows an applicant to temporarily change the use of a property for a specified length of time of up to five years. Interim use permits are:

  • A way to temporarily allow uses that are listed as a conditional use in the property’s zoning district
  • Reviewed by the City Council
  • Different from temporary use permits
