The City requires shooting galleries or ranges to have a license.

Definition

A shooting gallery is a place for shooting guns at a target. Shooting galleries used only by military or police departments do not need a license.

In Minneapolis, shooting galleries must be licensed. Before opening a shooting gallery, the owner or operator must apply for a business license.
