Public space and street concepts
Learn about the approved design concepts for the roadway and public space at New Nicollet.
The Public Works Department developed a conceptual layout for new Nicollet Ave between Lake St and Cecil Newman Lane. The City Council and the Mayor approved the concept layout in May 2024.
Public space framework
The Community Planning & Economic Development Department developed a Public Space Framework for the development site. The Framework guides future public space and also includes ideas for themes for future public art. The City Council and the Mayor approved the design concept in April 2024.
