Trusted spaces

This page lists locations where residents should feel safe completing their 2020 Census survey.

About

The Trusted Spaces program brings together local organizations, community centers, and religious spaces throughout the City of Minneapolis who will be supporting members of their community to receive census assistance in a safe and trusted location.

Many locations include:

  • Community centers
  • Religious centers
  • Neighborhood organizations

The Trusted Spaces program is different from other Questionnaire Assistance Centers (QACs) in that our Trusted Spaces will be supported by Minneapolis community members in a location that is already a trusted space. The Minnesota State Demographic Center is collaborating with Minnesota Public Libraries, statewide Complete Count Committees, and other 2020 Census partners to create a network across the state that can provide Minnesotans with the resources and assistance they need to submit their 2020 Census form.

Every Trusted Space will have staff/volunteers from the immediate community to support the site by providing technical assistance for anyone wanting to complete the census in a safe space.

If you are feeling unsafe at a Trusted Spaces location, please contact the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.
