Transportation studies

The City of Minneapolis uses the Transportation Action Plan as primary guidance on transportation project development, design and implementation. Topics periodically emerge that require additional study to support the plans or further explore concepts or new trends that are not addressed in the plans.

Transportation studies are intended to document and present information on a variety of topics to help guide future decisions. They do not create new policy, networks or systems, or identify specific capital improvement projects. Information gathered and analyzed in the studies can be incorporated into future policy documents as appropriate.

Transportation studies completed by the City of Minneapolis are intended to provide a foundation from which to make informed planning and policy-related decisions.
