Most heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and gas piping work requires a permit.

What to know

A mechanical permit is required to legally perform HVAC work for any construction project.
Building officials must approve your construction plans before we can issue your permit.
After you begin construction, we conduct on-site inspections to make sure your work conforms to the code and approved plans.
