We provide the property value and classification information used to calculate your share of the local property tax levy for the year.  We do not set or collect taxes.

Hennepin County collects property taxes and distributes the money to various local government entities.

Property taxes help fund local programs and services, such as public schools, fire and police protection, streets, libraries, and more.
