Overview

We are looking for a development team that cares about the community to rebuild the City-owned empty lot at 427 Cedar Ave South (where Dania Hall used to be). This Request for Proposals (RFP) invites developers to send in their ideas for how to use the property. The RFP gives all the information needed to help prepare a strong proposal. It will stay open for 6 months.

In 2025, we worked with the community to gather ideas for the site. The goals in the RFP come from those meetings and conversations.

Informational meetings

We will have optional meetings to explain the site and how to submit a proposal. There will be one online Q&A meeting and two in-person meetings.

The online meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

We will hold an in-person meeting, but the date is not set yet. We will post the meeting date by Oct. 22, 2025.

Questions

We’ll post questions and answers as we get them. We will keep answering questions until Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026. Check back often for updates.

Deadline

Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The City reserves the right to modify or reject any and all RFPs at our sole discretion.
