Families with children in Minneapolis Public Schools

Rent assistance

Stable Homes Stable Schools (SHSS) helps families pay rent if they qualify based on income and have children in a Minneapolis Public Schools elementary school.

  • When school is in session, families can talk to their school’s social worker to see if they qualify and get a referral to the program.
  • During school break, families can email shss@mpls.k12.mn.us
  • Minneapolis Public Schools families and children can use the HelpMe App to connect to many types of assistance and support.
