  • Samantha Holmes

Animal Control Officers are essential personnel who serve the city of Minneapolis seven days a week. They're on call 24/7 for animal-related emergencies.

  • Dog and Cat

Include your pets in your emergency preparedness plan. During times of uncertainty or disaster, it's important to have a plan for your pets if you're unable to care for them.

  • Ole Blue Eyes

Only bring in or call about stray cats if they appear sick or injured. Lost cats are 18 times more likely to get home if you leave them where you find them. Only about 7% of cats brought into the shelter make it back to their owner.

  • Dog on Leash

Always keep your dog on a leash to keep our community safe for people and pets. Loose dogs are more likely to get injured or stolen and bite a person or other animal.

  • Pet Supplies

Donate to Minneapolis Animal Care and Control. Monetary and in-kind donations allow us to better serve the animals in our care.

  • Kitty in Cage

Adopt a pet! We have an always-changing community of animals available for adoption at affordable prices. Adoptable animals are completely vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and ready to go home with you.
