Safe Routes information
The Safe Routes to School (SFTS) Program improves the City's streets with pedestrian and bicycle improvements for students and children.
The SRTS Program's resources and projects are allocated in an equitable manner. To encourage students to walk or bicycle to/from school, the SRTS Program seeks to improve the comfort and safety of the city's pedestrian and bicycle network near schools, parks, libraries and other neighborhood destinations.
To report specific comments about traffic operation near schools, please contact City of Minneapolis 311.
For more information and tips on walking, rolling or biking to school, please visit the Minneapolis Public Schools Safe Routes to School webpage.
