Backyard chickens

You can apply for a permit to raise chickens in your backyard.

The City allows residents to apply for a permit to keep backyard chickens on their property. Before applying for a permit, please read the full ordinance language. The complete list of rules and regulations are located in the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances.
