You'll need an obstruction permit if your event requires the City to close sidewalks, parking lanes, bike lanes or moving lanes.

When you need a permit

We require an obstruction permit if your event will need the City to close:

  • Sidewalks
  • Parking lanes
  • Bike lanes

Steps

  • Visit the roway website to request a permit.
  • Register yourself or your company.
  • Once approved,n apply for the permit:
    • Request dates needed
    • Explain why you need permit
    • Let us know if you need hooding of parking meters or posting of no parking

Fees

  • The permit is free of charge but fees are assessed for lost revenue of the hooded parking meter and closure of sidewalks, parking lanes, bike lanes or moving lanes.
  • If Traffic Control Agents are required, additional fees may apply.
