Event bonfires

A bonfire is a large but controlled outdoor fire, intended as part of a celebration. We require a special event permit for bonfires.

A bonfire:

  • Requires a Special Event Permit

Open flames or candles indoors require an Operational Permit.

You must comply with Chapter 1341 of the Minnesota State Building Code for:

  • Accessibility
  • Parking
  • Seating
  • Signage
  • Ingress and egress for people with disabilities
