Massage Establishment, Commercial - A business offering massage services to customers. A license is not required for medical massage services.

Massage Establishment, Home-based and/or Single Operator - A business offering massage services:

Before you begin

Plan review

Plans are required for any new or remodeled massage business. See the Massage and Body Art Plan Review Guide .

Submit to Business Licensing:

• Massage and Body Art Plan Review application
• Copy of your plans
• Client release form
• Aftercare instructions
• Determine your plan review fee 

Before opening, a Minneapolis health inspector must conduct a pre-opening inspection.
