Retail businesses

You need a license for a retail business that provides vehicle services. Examples include a car wash, gas station, car dealer and repair garage.

License applications

Car Wash - A business with equipment to wash cars and trucks. This includes self-service car washes. A license is not required for a repair garage or a gas station with a car wash.
Gas Station - The sale of gasoline or other fuels to the public.
Motor Vehicle Dealers - A business that sells cars or trucks. If you offer repair services, you must have a license for a Repair Garage .
Repair Garage - A business that repairs cars and trucks. This includes service, maintenance, diagnostics and body work. You do not need a license if your company only:
- Provides fuel, checks fluid levels, replaces filters and does other minor services (i.e., gas station)
- Repairs cars and trucks of your own private fleet
Used Parts Dealer - Buying, selling or storing used, rebuilt or new car or truck parts.
