Requirements

Taxi drivers in Minneapolis must:

  • Have a Minnesota or Wisconsin driver’s license
  • Have a good driving record
  • Have at least one year of driving experience
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to read, write and speak English
  • Send us a five-year background record 
  • Not have alcohol or drug addiction
  • Know the taxi laws and streets in Minneapolis
