South Transfer Station Directions
Important notice for Transfer Station users
- Until further notice the South Transfer Station will be open to Voucher Customers only. Cash and checks will no longer be accepted. Any voucher overages will be added to the Utility Bill account for the property.
- If you do not have a Voucher, you are not able to use the site at this time. Visit Hennepin County’s Landfill and transfer station web page to find alternative disposal locations while the transfer station is unavailable. Be sure to call ahead to verify materials accepted, hours, and fees.
Tuesday - Friday
12:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
No loads will be accepted after 7:15 p.m. Tuesday - Friday or after 3:15 p.m. on Saturday or at the discretion of the Transfer Station attendants.
Closed Sunday, Monday and Holidays
Please plan for enough time to have your debris unloaded by the station's closing time. Once you enter the transfer station, you must first weigh in and then you may unload your items in the appropriate location(s) as directed by the station attendant. Once you have unloaded your items, return to the outbound scale to weigh out.
Located just northwest of Hiawatha and Lake Street.
Go to Lake Street and 21st Avenue South.
Go north one block to 29th Street.
Turn left and go straight until 29th Street ends.
