Recycling Drop-Offs

While recycling collection in the alley or curb is now the norm for the City of Minneapolis, recycling drop-offs still have their place.

Are you moving and want to recycle a lot of material? Do you have a small business, but do not generate many recyclables on a weekly basis? A recycling drop-off may be the answer. Below are some drop-offs in and near Minneapolis that take a variety of recyclable materials.

Hennepin County Recycling Center and Transfer Station
8100 Jefferson Highway, Brooklyn Park,
(612) 348-6500 or (612) 348-6509

South Hennepin Recycling and Problem Waste Drop-off Center
1400 West 96th Street, Bloomington,
(612) 348-6500 or (612) 348-6509

Both facilities listed above also accept household hazardous waste (HHW).  HHW are items such as automotive fluids, paints, pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals.  The facility accepts and ensures proper disposal of these and other items.

For additional information on items accepted, associated fees, and products available go to Hennepin County's website.   Please note days and hours of operation before going to these facilities.
