My Health Rewards by Medica is now powered by Virgin Pulse, a pioneer in digital health and wellness solutions designed to help you build health habits and live your best life. With the switch to Virgin Pulse, the 2020 City of Minneapolis wellness program is built on a new digital platform that makes it even easier – and more fun – to earn, track and redeem points for doing healthy activities. Complete any combination of health actions below to earn at least 3,000 program points by August 31, 2020, and you’ll be rewarded with the preferred wellness premium rate on your 2021 health care coverage.   

Ways to Earn Points

There are many ways to earn points - some old and some new! We’ve highlighted many of them, but the best way to understand your point-earning potential is to register and start exploring the Virgin Pulse platform. 

Onsite Biometric screening events

Due to COVID-19 all scheduled biometric screening events have been cancelled. Even without a biometric screening there are plenty of ways to earn points.  

Health and Wellness Classes

There are a  variety of health and wellness classes you can take and earn points!  Due to COVID-19, these classed are being offered remotely Sign up for the classes in Comet and when you complete it, enter the name and date on Virgin Pulse in the Program section.   You will receive a link for joining the class after you register. 

How to Get Started

When you register for an account on Virgin Pulse, you can access the program through a computer or an app on your phone or tablet.  Follow these instructions to get started. 

 Earn Rewards

You can earn up to $100 in rewards by participating in the program.  You can also use your rewards points toward gift cards, to shop in the Virgin Pulse store or make a donation to a cause you support.*  If you'd like an activity tracker to make the most of the program, you can get a Max Buzz tracker for $10 or 2,000 points in the Virgin Pulse store.  Here is how you earn:
