Early Retirement Incentive

The City is offering an early retirement incentive program as part of the amended 2020 budget. There are three different early retirement plans based on your age plus years of City employment and a few other factors. Check to see if you are eligible>>

Meet with the City's Representative on the Deferred Compensation Plan

You can discuss how to set aside extra money for retirement through the deferred compensation plan with David Wrightsmith, the City’s account manager with the Minnesota State Retirement System (MSRS). You can also ask questions about enrollment or review your deferred compensation plan. Schedule a phone appointment on his website. New dates and times are added periodically. 

Paths to Positivity Returns (Eligible for 250 Wellness Points)

 At times, it can be difficult to feel positive, especially in 2020. But positive thinking can help manage stress and improve your health and well-being. Register now for the Paths to Positivity campaign Oct. 5-Nov. 6 to help you practice daily activities that lead to a happier, healthier life. This five-week self-guided campaign promotes mental well-being through your choice of three different paths: connection, mindfulness or purpose. And if you self-report your experience in the Paths to Positivity program, you can earn wellness points.

Each Wednesday between October 14 and November 4 at 9:00 a.m we will come together to participate in a 10-15 minute meditation video.  They will be posted here afterward.

Nice Ride Membership Discount

City employees pay only $30 this year for a Nice Ride annual membership. The total cost of an annual membership is regularly $75. The City will contribute $30 toward your membership cost, and Nice Ride will contribute $15. The discount is considered taxable income. You will be taxed at your regular withholding rate on the value of the City’s contribution.  Read on for the discount code and instructions for signing up.  

Farmer's Market Wellness Walks (Eligible for 250 Wellness Points)

Wellness walks are returning this summer with a new format.  The emphasis this year will be on visiting a farmer's market near you.  Walk or bike to your local farmer's market, share pictures and earn wellness points. Read more>> 

2020 Wellness Points Program

My Health Rewards by Medica is now delivered from a new digital platform by Virgin Pulse, a pioneer in digital health and wellness solutions.

Go to the 2020 Wellness Program page for more information about how to earn points and logging on. The deadline to earn 3000 points for a lower premium contribution rate in 2021 has passed,but you can still participate and earn gift cards.
