Outcomes to Date
A primary goal of MSP TechHire is to diversify the IT sector. Data indicates that the Minneapolis Saint Paul region has a limited diversity of race and ethnicity within the IT Sector with just 4% Latinx, 3% African American and 1% Native American workers employed in the industry.
Since 2015, MSP TechHire has awarded 199 scholarships totaling over $1.5 million dollars of City of Minneapolis investment, more than 50% of which went to African Americans, Latinx and Native Americans.
