Ward Profiles
Welcome to the first edition of Ward Profiles, a new publication of CPED Long Range Planning intended to inform the work of policymakers and their constituents through regular visualization and reporting of (1) US Census and American Community Service data, (2) City priority opportunity sites, (3) the 5-year capital plan, and (4) CPED investments. Ward Profiles brings these important elements together as a series of maps in a single easy-to-reference publication, which will be updated and published annually, both citywide and by Ward.
The mission of Ward Profiles is to keep pertinent information up to date and within arm’s reach such that it can serve as a reference to inform decisions, be a platform for shared goal-setting, and establish a forum in which Ward-based priorities and citywide priorities can be considered on their own or in context.
It is our hope and intention that mapping and visualizing baseline data and communicating key priorities within one publication will generate opportunities for collaboration and partnership, whether wholly within the public sector or through public-private interaction.
CPED Long Range Planning is committed to providing regular updates of Ward Profiles at the citywide and ward scale to inform the work of the Mayor, Council Members, and city staff, as well as to provide the best possible information to the communities we serve.
