W 31st St Pedestrian Safety Improvements (at Dupont & Emerson Ave)

In 2013, the Minneapolis Public Works Department installed temporary bumpouts at the intersections of W 31st St and Dupont Ave and W 31st St and Emerson Ave using painted curb extensions and plastic delineators as part of a pilot program. In 2021, Public Works plans to upgrade these intersections with infrastructure enhancements to create a safer environment for pedestrians.
