18th Ave NE Trail Gap
In 2022, Minneapolis Public Works plans to construct 700 feet of trail between Marshall St NE and California St NE to close a gap between two existing trails. This is the final segment linking approximately 1.50 miles of trail from 18th Ave NE to Boom Island Park. The project will provide an opportunity to incorporate safety improvements at major crossings, greening, and other enhancements.
- Links two trail segment, providing greater access to parks and the riverfront for nearby residents
- Improves a trail crossing along busy Marshall Street, thereby improving safety of the trails
- Provides access to parkland, trail, and the riverfront for an area of concentrated poverty.
