Northern Metals Advisory Committee
The Northern Metals Consent Decree Advisory Committee provides recommendations for the budget breakdown of the $600,000 dedicated to community asthma and lead reduction work within the parameters of the four projects defined in the consent decree. The Advisory Committee also provides recommendations on how the City can best implement the four projects defined by the consent decree, including recommending how to define impacted communities, how to identify and educate the at-risk residents, how to identify and reach the families of children with asthma, and how to conduct lead-screening events.
Vacancies
The Committee is comprised of 18 members. Seats 1 - 12 the applicant must live or work in the listed neighborhoods, Seats 13 - 18 are at large members selected by the Health Department, for a four-year term beginning October 1, 2020, and ending December 31, 2023.
- Seats 1, 2, and 3: Bottineau neighborhood.
- Seats 4, 5, and 6: Sheridan neighborhood.
- Seats 7, 8, and 9: McKinley neighborhood.
- Seats 10, 11, and 12: Hawthorne neighborhood.
- Seats 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18: At large members.

Selection Process
Applications are forwarded from the City Clerk to the Committee Staff. The City Council approves the appointment of all committee members.
