Minneapolis Animal Care & Control is temporarily suspending low-cost vaccination appointments due to surging COVID-19 infections. Appointments through Dec. 14 will be kept but no more appointments can be scheduled at this time. You can complete this request form to be added to the waiting list for when we resume appointments. Thanks for your understanding.

Minneapolis Animal Care and Control offers rabies and distemper vaccinations, as well as microchipping. Appointments are currently available at the shelter from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
A current Minneapolis pet license is required. License fees depend on the type of animal and the type of license, and can be purchased during your appointment. Read more about pet licenses.
You have to be a Minneapolis resident to use this service.
Pre-register each pet through our online form below. We can't accommodate unscheduled appointments.
Animal Care and Control staff will contact you to schedule an appointment and go over appointment details. Rabies and distemper are a one year vaccination. Three year rabies vaccinations are available on request if you have proof of a previous rabies vaccination that's less than six months expired.
Please arrive on time. If you're more than five minutes late, you'll have to request another appointment for a later date or time.
Credit or debit card is the preferred payment method, but we can accept cash or check.
